Project Management Officer – Core Banking

We are hiring an experienced Core Banking Project Management Officer (PMO) with 6+ years of expertise in supporting digital change and transformation programs with specific focus on banking and core banking system (CBS) implementations. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in overseeing and providing necessary support and governance in the execution of core banking projects.

What You’ll Do

As a Core Banking Project Management Officer (PMO), you will be responsible for supporting the execution of core banking transformation projects. This role involves ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The PMO will provide governance, documentation, and support to project managers and teams. In this context, the following activities will fall under your responsibility:

• Establish and maintain project management methodologies and standards.
• Provide support and training to project managers and teams on project management tools and techniques.
• Maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and risk logs.
• Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring compliance with project plans and schedules.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between project teams and stakeholders.
• Conduct regular project reviews and audits to ensure adherence to project management standards.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Provide operational support – managing data, finances, time tracking, reconciliation, invoicing, SOWs & PO tracking including 3rd party, people management (onboarding/offboarding).
• Maintain a repository of project documentation and best practices for future reference.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field.
• Experience: 6+ years in project management and support roles focused on banking or financial services. Demonstrated success in CBS implementations or large-scale banking system rollouts.
• Certifications: PMP or Prince2 certification is highly desirable.
