Senior Developer

We are hiring an experienced Senior Developer with 10+ years of expertise in delivering digital change and transformation programs with specific focus on banking and core banking system (CBS) implementations. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in Temenos Transact implementation, expert knowledge of Temenos Transact TAFJ and Java development, and proven ability to customize, configure and extend Temenos Transact functionalities to meet clients’ business requirements.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including estimating, development, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of applications developed for clients. Your contributions will be essential in driving continuous improvement and innovation within clients’ organization. In this context, the following activities will fall under your responsibility:

• Perform design, coding, and unit testing of new functionality and/or related support actions.
• Understand clients’ business use cases and requirements, and translate them into working solutions.
• Adhere to standard development practice/procedure (Agile) and coding standards during the development phase.
• Participate in Technical analysis in collaboration with other Teams/Consultants/Architects and Analysts – internal/External and On/Off Shore.
• Create high-quality supporting documents e.g. Technical Specification Document (TSD), Run Book, User/Installation Guide, etc.
• Review program code produced by more junior Software Engineers for quality, clarity, efficiency, and adherence to TEMENOS and/or market standards.
• Contribute to the maintenance & reusability of the product in line with project assignments.
• Perform such other duties, functions, and services, consistent with status or vocational ability, as may from time to time be required.
• Providing guidance and support to the team.

Key Qualities for Success

• Banking-Specific Expertise: Experience in large-scale CBS implementations, with strong understanding of Temenos Core Banking System architecture and banking processes.
• Technical Expertise: Strong experience in most of these technologies and languages: TAFJ, java, RHEL O/S, OpenShift, IBM MQ, Kafka, Oracle/Postgres/MongoDB and IRIS framework. Temenos functional knowledge is desirable.
• Stakeholder Management, Communication & Reporting: Strong communication and ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders within banking environments.
• Leadership and Mentorship: Proven ability to lead and mentor Change Champions in fast-paced, high-stakes projects.
• Skills in Change Metrics and Impact Analysis: Ideal candidates will excel at defining change metrics, manage change impacts and resistance, and ensuring adoption metrics are met to demonstrate real transformation outcomes.
• Global Experience: Comfortable navigating the complexities of multicultural and cross-border banking transformation programs.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Experience: 10+ years in banking transformation roles, with at least 7+ years demonstrated success in CBS (Temenos) implementations or large-scale banking system rollouts.
• Certifications: Certifications in CBS solutions like Finacle, Temenos, or SAP Banking are a plus.
