We are hiring an experienced Test Manager with 10+ years of expertise in digital change and transformation programs with specific focus on banking and core banking system (CBS) implementations. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in testing, test management, test strategies development, defect managements, stakeholder engagement and developing operating models that drive sustainable change within an organization.
What You’ll Do
As a Testing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the testing activities for core banking projects. This role involves overseeing testing activities, developing testing strategies, managing testing teams, and ensuring that all core banking systems meet the required quality standards and regulatory requirements. In this context, the following activities will fall under your responsibility:
- Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies and plans for core banking projects.
- Lead and manage testing teams, providing guidance and support to ensure effective and efficient testing processes.
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, and business analysts to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Ensure all testing activities are conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of test cases, test scripts, and test data.
- Monitor and report on the progress of testing activities, identifying and resolving any issues or challenges.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies for testing activities.
- Ensure the quality and reliability of core banking systems through rigorous testing processes.
- Provide training and support to testing teams on best practices and testing methodologies.
- Manage the various test cycles of the program – CIT, SIT, UAT, PT etc. to ensure minimum defect leakage into production
- Create the test closure report on completion of testing cycles within test execution cycle.
Key Qualities for Success
- Banking-Specific Expertise: Strong test management experience in large-scale CBS implementations e.g. Temenos, Flexcube, Finacle, etc. with deep understanding of banking processes and systems.
- Stakeholder Management, Communication & Reporting: Strong communication and ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders within banking environments.
- Leadership and Mentorship: Proven ability to lead business meetings and workshops in fast-paced, high-stakes projects.
- Skills in Change Metrics and Impact Analysis: Ideal candidates will excel at measuring change impact, conducting impact analysis, and ensuring adoption metrics are met to demonstrate real transformation outcomes.
- Global Experience: Comfortable navigating the complexities of multicultural and cross-border banking transformation programs.
- Continuous Learner: Committed to staying current on trends in banking technology and best practices.
- Results-Oriented Mindset: Skilled at translating CBS implementation testing strategies into measurable outcomes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 10+ years of test management with at least 7+ years focused on banking or financial services. Demonstrated success in CBS (Temenos) implementations or large-scale banking system rollouts.
- Certifications: Certifications such as ISTQB and any other certifications in CBS solutions like Finacle, Temenos, or SAP Banking are a plus.
