Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Metadata Management Platform Admin to join our team. As a Metadata Management Platform Admin, you will be responsible for overseeing the administration and configuration of metadata management platforms and data quality platforms. You will be expected to have a strong understanding of metadata management concepts and data quality practices, with expertise in various metadata management and data quality tools. You will play a crucial role in ensuring effective metadata management, data discovery, and data quality practices within our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and configure metadata management platforms, ensuring optimal performance and functionality.
  • Understand the inner workings of data catalogs and their mechanisms for providing users with the ability to search and discover assets.
  • Manage connectors/crawlers that extract metadata from source systems and populate the data catalog, as well as vice versa.
  • Implement strategies for managing historical data and timestamps within the metadata management platform.
  • Bulk load business terms and glossaries into the data catalog to facilitate effective data governance and understanding.
  • Establish links between the business glossary and data assets to enhance data lineage and traceability.
  • Build data profiles, assign owners, create tags, and add certificates to ensure comprehensive metadata enrichment.

  • Familiarity with metadata-related reports and customization options for different stakeholders.
